Import your organization

A guide to importing employees, departments and administrators into Woba

To set up your organization quickly and easily in Woba, you can advantageously use the import function.

You can find the import function by going to: Organization > Departments/Employees/Administrators

Import your organization

1. Navigate to the import page.

2. Choose the settings you want for the import - *see the box below for more info.

3. Click  Upload Excel file.

4. Select the document you wish to import.

5. Import complete - Select Go to Departments to see an overview of the recently imported or updated organization.

*If your validation of the document is successful, you are ready to import your organization. When you importing your organization you have the following options:

  • Archive employee not found in spreadsheet: If an employee exists in Woba, but is not found in the spreadsheet, then the employee is automatically be archived in Woba.
  • Create missing departments: If an employee in the spreadsheet belongs to a department that does not exist in Woba, then the department is created and associated with the employee.
  • Ignore department hierarchy and match on Department1 name only: Assign the employee with the department that is in the Department1 column, regardless of where the department is located in the department hierarchy.

 

Depending on what you choose, it will affect what information is imported into Woba, as well as what information is replaced.
