Create departments and sub-departments

A guide to creating departments and sub-departments in Woba

The first step to setting up your organization in Woba is to set up departments and sub-departments.

You can create departments by going to: Organization > Departments

If you don't want to create your company's departmental structure in Woba manually, you can also import your organization.

Create department

1. Navigate to the department page.

2. Next to the organization bar, select Add.

3. Name the department and fill in the required information.

4. Select Save.

5. The newly created department will now appear in the department list.

Create sub-department

A department can have up to 9 levels of sub-departments. If you want to add a sub-department, you must first have created a parent department.

1. Select + from the department you want to add a sub-department to.

2. Name the department and fill in the required information.

3. Click to save the sub-department.

You can show all of a department's underlying sub-departments by pressing next to the department name.

Note: it is important to think through the department structure, as a department cannot be moved once employees are attached. Read more about how to edit departments here.
