Benchmarking

A guide to benchmarking in Woba

In Woba, you have various different options for benchmarking. Some examples could be:

  1. Benchmarking with similar companies in the industry.
  2. Benchmarking with a previous survey.
  3. Benchmarking with different departments or groups.

Benchmark data is displayed in the Overview, Risk Map, and Report.

Industry benchmark

Industry benchmarking is automatically enabled for all surveys, if possible. The benchmarking is based on the same type of survey conducted by other companies with the same industry code as your company.

The data being benchmarked is at both company and department levels as well as at question and category level. These are the same types of data that are also benchmarked when comparing against one of your own surveys.

Tip: If there is no industry benchmark displayed for your survey, it is because there isn't enough data from similar companies to create a representative comparison. You can contact Woba Support to inquire about other options.

Benchmark survey

Benchmarking with a similar survey involves comparing the overall scores at the company, department, and question levels between two surveys.

Our advanced comparison filter allows you to compare custom groups effortlessly. Want to analyze Women from Sales aged 35-45 versus Men from Marketing aged 45-55 you would be able to do this by using benchmarking.

You need to enable this benchmark yourself before any data is displayed:

    1. Choose a survey in the filtering options.
    2. Select Filter.
    3. Press Compare Benchmark.
    4. Choose a survey from the Benchmark survey drop-down menu.
      1. In this step you can also choose which other data you would like to benchmark.
    5. Click Search.
  • The benchmark data associated with the selected survey will now be displayed.

Note: Benchmarking with a previous survey is only possible if the questions and included departments are set up identically between the two surveys.
