Integration of Woba (API)

Can Woba be integrated with our existing software?

In Woba, we use a technical solution that enables automatic data import from a third-party system - an API integration. API stands for "Application Programming Interface" and, in short, is an interface that allows one piece of software to interact with another piece of software, such as your HR system with Woba.

An API solution is particularly practical because you only need to make changes to information in one place. Furthermore, you can always be sure that the data in Woba is up-to-date with your third-party system, allowing you to send out surveys at any time.

In the following, we will delve deeper into what an API solution entails and can offer.

Have you already purchased the API? See how to get started here: → Get Started with API

What data can be automatically imported?

In Woba, there are generally three different types of data that can be synchronized with an API solution. These include:

  1. Employee Data

    • Creating, archiving, and deactivation of new, resigned, or absent employees.
    • Employee variables such as name or email, as well as other information like gender, salary, or login method.
    • All fields that you can change when editing an employee in Woba can also be automatically synchronized via an API.
  2. Department Structure

    • If new departments or sub-departments are created in your third-party system, these can be automatically created in Woba, and the relevant employees can be automatically reassigned to match the changes.
  3. Administrator Data

    • Rights and permissions in Woba can, of course, also be set up via an API solution. You can define the criteria in the third-party system that grant access to the respective departments in Woba.
    • Permissions will be automatically revoked in Woba if, for example, an employee in the third-party system resigns.

How often is data synchronized?

You can choose how often the information from your third-party system is synchronized with Woba. Typically, we recommend doing this approximately once a day. This way, you can always be sure that the data is up to date.

How does an API solution work in Woba?

When you purchase an API solution, Woba provides a technical description and guide on how to set up the solution so that your third-party system can collaborate with Woba. Afterward, your IT department or similar can configure it so that the desired information is synchronized. You have full control over which information to synchronize. Once the integration is set up and running, no further action is required - the rest happens completely automatically!

Note: Changes to information in Woba will automatically be overwritten if modifications are made through the API.

Why use an API solution?

There can be several reasons to benefit from using an API solution, such as:

  1. Increased Efficiency: APIs enable task and process automation, reducing the time and effort required for manual data exchange.
  2. Scalability: By leveraging an API, the company only needs to update one database, avoiding errors in the data foundation.
  3. Innovation: The API allows the company to add all relevant data from its master database.
  4. Unified User Experience: The API enables integration between Woba and a third-party system, resulting in a smoother and more intuitive user experience across different systems.
