In this article, you can learn about the types of permissions that different administrators have in Woba
Administrator permissions
The two different types of administrators in Woba, namely department and company administrators, unlock a range of different permissions.
You can see how to add or edit admin permissions here: → Advanced permissions at the user level
Department administrator
Can only perform actions in departments they have permissions for.
The have the following permissions to Woba:
Can create survey templates - both from scratch and by using Woba templates.
Can schedule surveys - only with their own templates.
- Can invite own departments and individual employees herefrom to a survey.
- Can assign or remove permissions at the survey level (solely surveys they have created)
- Can access "Advanced Filtering" (if enabled - must be separately activated).
- Can view all sub-departments (if enabled - must be separately activated).
- Can access survey data from departments they have permissions to - including scores, comments, and reports.
- Can download recommendations based on the results from surveys they have access to.
- Can create and access action plans for their departments.
- Can access Woba Copilot and view chats they have started themselves
Company administrators
Can perform actions across the entire company in Woba, including managing the organization, which is unique to this type of admin. This means that they essentially have access to everything by default, although surveys can be hidden from a company administrator.
They have the following unique permissions for Woba:
- Access to the Organizational Module
- Can access and create new employees, administrators, and departments
- Can access Woba Copilot and view all chats belonging to the company
Note: Company administrators do not necessarily have access to the whistleblower module - this is ONLY for the whistleblower responsible.
Survey permissions
When creating a new survey in Woba, by default, both company and department administrators will have permission to view results for that particular survey. However, these permissions can be freely changed and customized as desired. Additionally, you can also assign permissions to individual administrators.
When creating survey permissions, you can choose whether the person or persons covered by the permission should be able to access reports, including total score and comments for the survey.
Both department and company administrators can by default access and respond to messages in Survey Chat for the departments they have access to.
Individual permissions
Individual permissions assigned to an employee override any other permissions that the employee may have for the survey (e.g., if the employee is already a department administrator).
If a department or company administrator assigns individual permissions to a colleague, all additional permissions will be overridden, and that colleague will, for that particular survey and only that survey, have access to the selected areas and data from the survey.
Individual permissions also override a company administrator's permissions for a survey. However, please note that a company administrator always can change this due to their global permissions in Woba.
If an individual admin needs to access and respond to messages in Survey Chat, it's important to enable this feature during creation.
