In this article, you can read about what a kiosk user is and what it entails.
A kiosk user is an employee who does not have access to a computer but still needs to complete surveys. Kiosk users can log in via a kiosk mode, which allows them to complete surveys without having a personal email address linked to their account.Being a kiosk user entails the following:
- Limited Access: Kiosk users can only access and complete ongoing surveys. They cannot view upcoming or completed surveys.
- No Email Login: Kiosk users do not log in using email but through a specific kiosk mode.
- Simplified Functionality: The kiosk app contains a reduced version of the functionality found in the web app, where only essential features are available.
Kiosk users need to use a specific login that is not based on email. This login can be set up by the system administrator and is typically accessible via a "kiosk terminal" or a shared device.
No Email Login
Kiosk users log in using their unique employee ID and their name. This makes it impossible to link their responses to a personal account, but it also means that kiosk users cannot log in and view their results afterward. This is for security reasons, as otherwise admins could log in on behalf of others and check responses.
No Personal Identification
Since kiosk users do not log in with personal email addresses, their responses are not directly linked to their identity. This helps maintain anonymity in the survey.
This only applies to anonymous surveys. If the survey is not anonymous, the responses will be linked to a name in the results on Woba Analytics.
Limited Access
Kiosk users are designed to have limited access to the system, where they can only complete ongoing surveys. They do not have access to view the survey results, as their primary role is to participate in the survey, not to analyze the results, and to remain anonymous after responding. This is done to prevent admins from logging in on behalf of a kiosk user and viewing their results after they have submitted their responses.
